Keeping Aboriginal families strong, connected and safe at home
Winanga-li’s Family Preservation Program provides culturally grounded, intensive support to help Aboriginal families keep children safely at home, strengthen their wellbeing and stay connected to culture, community and kin. Funded by DCJ, the program works with families facing stress, safety concerns or early risks that may lead to child protection involvement.
About the Program
Family Preservation focuses on early, practical and tailored support that prevents the need for children to enter out-of-home care. The program works with parents, caregivers and the whole family to strengthen relationships, build parenting confidence and address challenges that may be impacting home safety or stability.
Our team listens, respects each family’s experiences and works alongside them to identify strengths, goals and the supports that will make the greatest difference. As an Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation, we deliver all support in a culturally safe way that honours identity, culture and community connection.
